Here’s a short list of my favorite authors! I obviously like a ton of authors but these few are ones that I have returned to over and over again because I just can’t get over their skill in storytelling!
- Jane Austen – Even though I don’t like romance, I do love her character development and the way she makes you feel like you’re apart of her story. I have read almost all of her novels and enjoyed every one! However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Emma or Pride and Prejudice.
- Frank Perretti – I have been reading his books since I was small. I started with his Cooper Kids Series and moved on to other books as I got older like Monster, The Oath, and House.
- Edgar Allen Poe – His macabre, gothic, dark literary style is still great to this day! Whether I’m reading The Raven or Tell Tale Heart I can’t help but feel a chill run down my spine!
- Francine Rivers – This author has the skills to pay the bills. She makes me cry, laugh, and smile with her characters like no one else. I remember almost throwing A Voice in the Wind across the room after I finished it. Thankfully, I had the next book An Echo in The Darkness sitting next to me so I was able to get deeper into her plot and see if the cliff hanger would get resolved.
- Suzanne Collins – I just really, really, really liked her Hunger Games trilogy and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The series and stand alone were incredible. I fell into that world and wasn’t to inclined to climb back into ours!

Thanks for checking out my first five favorite authors! I’ll have another five favorite coming up soon. Let me know your favorites! Like I said, I am always looking for more books and authors!
