Tons of books have been turned into movies and TV shows. The likelihood that your favorite thing to watch is a book is pretty high. The famous “Psycho” movie from Alfred Hitchcock was originally a book! Same with movies like “Jurassic Park” and “The Ring” (fun fact: this movie was a Japanese book called Ringu).
I’ve been thinking and we all have a book or two that we’d love to see become a huge hit. When I think of a good movie/tv show, I’m looking for action, drama, and suspense with a little bit of romance thrown in. With that said, here would be my dream:
An Edgar Allen Poe TV series. Is that random? Probably! But, hear me out. Poe has some pretty wild short stories that I think would be a phenomenal TV series. Each episode would be a different short story and they would have an overarching plot that would lead to something big. That way book fans would enjoy the little twists and turns while still knowing the stories. There could even have characters that are in multiple stories and use a narrator to tell the stories.
I think Poe’s work would have a sort of Twilight Zone/macabre feel which is pretty popular right now. I just think I’d love it. Classic yet sinister. I have this horrible feeling, though, that someone would do it and it would be cheesy. Either way, I would like a TV show based on Poe’s works. I think it would be pretty fantastic.
