Have you found yourself in a situation where you couldn’t remember if you read a book? Maybe you do remember but are unsure if it was good?
If you have found yourself in one of those situations, then you should absolutely try a book journal! I started one back in the beginning of 2020 and it has been immensely beneficial. It’s difficult to remember what I have read and what I did and didn’t like especially when I am reading loads of books. I’ve had friends ask me about books and what I thought but it’s been long enough I can’t recall my thoughts on it.
Depending on the journal you get, you put in information about the book. Usually it’s like the title, author, dates you started and finished, a space for favorite quotes, etc.. A cousin of mine has a different one that has WAY more detail. It’s more of a book analysis sheet whereas mine is a quick summary. I would say though, as a book blogger I’d probably want the analysis versus the summary just because it would make refreshing my memory on books easier. If you aren’t a book blogger, though, I would recommend a simpler one solely because it’s easier to fill out but still works to document what you’ve read.

Now, if you don’t want to buy a book journal, you can download one as an app! I have an Android device, so I’m not sure what comes up for the iPhone app store but I found a couple of different apps you might want to try! “Traquer” and “Read More” looked the most promising to me.

I hope you guys found this little infomercial helpful and interesting! I would totally encourage you book worms start a book journal! I’m so happy when I finish a book and I can write down that I have in the journal. It causes me to feel a sense of achievement. Hopefully you can find this excitement too!
I love to journal! I have nine notebooks filled with thoughts and events in my life. Do you like journaling? Tell me about it in the comments!
